Presenter-led Natural History. Working for Oscar wining Exec James Reed, I took this film from the planning stages, through the edit. As the senior on the ground, I managed the team, the schedule, produced and directed the talent and crew, filmed both topside and some underwater, scripted and edit produced. 

Pilgrimage: The Road through the Alps

Specialist Factual – Seven famous faces, all with diverging beliefs, faiths and backgrounds, journey through the Alps on foot on a modern day pilgrimage. As part of a small PD team, I filmed, produced and directed the talent and scenes as we hiked over 300km through the Austrian and Swiss Alps. 

Ed Stafford: First Man Out

Embedded camera following as Ed is pitted against the world’s best survivalists, adventurers and bush craft experts in a remote location. I was the embedded camera in the wilderness with just the talent, and a safety person in the mountains of far North China, enduring temps of minus 35 degrees, and also navigated the islands of the South China sea. I directed, filmed and produced solo, bar the top and bottom of the episode, which was a multi-cam set-up

Love Triangle

New format dating show from the MAFS Australia team. I led the team for the 'Dan' Triangle. I set up and shot backstory scenes and interviews, Intro MIVS, produced and directed the contributors and crew through the actuality, and also camera operated for the big dinner party set ups. 

SAS Who Dares Wins

A group of ex-special forces soldiers, put a group of recruits through a condensed version of the gruelling SAS selection process to test their physical, mental and emotional strength in a extreme and remote location. A physically testing shoot for both crew and cast. My camera positions included rope work, and filming in the extreme cold. 

F1: The Academy

Formula 1 access doc following F1’s new all women driving category. I filmed the first round in Saudi. I was responsible for filming 3 of the drivers in two of the garages, which also included filming and producing some of the biggest names in Formula 1. . 

Go Hard or Go Home

Foreign location fact-ent competition format. My role included shooting and producing contrib backstory, lighting, shooting and producing MIVS, shooting the big challenge pieces as part of a large multi cam set ups, and also filming the actuality scenes. Set on an exotic island paradise, the series followed eight young people, with varying sensitive story lines, that needed managing and producing with empathy and extra sensitivity. 

Toughest Forces on Earth

Access driven documentary. Three ex-tier 1 soldiers are embedded with, and experience the unique training for elite forces all around the globe. I filmed with the Navy SEAL's and the EOD, as they went through their explosives and selection training. As well and filming and producing, my role included rope, helicopter (air 2 air, and over water), and boat camera work. 

Game of Throws: Inside Darts

Unprecedented access to the players and their families, as we track the action from the pre-tournament preparation, to the world famous Alexandra Palace for the World Championship final. As the senior director on the ground, I managed the team of AP, DOP, Sound and cam assist in the US filming block in New York and Virginia Beach.

Say Yes to the Dress with Tan France

Tan France helps brides to be find the perfect dress for their big day. As the PD on a block of filming, I filmed bride intro sequences, cross shot the dress scenes with the DOP and camera op, filmed and produced the talent OTF's, and filmed and produced the bride MIV's.

Steve Backshall vs Monster Mountain

Steve Backshall takes on one of the most notorious and deadly mountain climbs in the world – the North Face of the Eiger.

As part of a small team of SP, DOP / climbing camera, and drone, I filmed and produced the scenes and OTFs in the extreme conditions. 

Naked, Alone and Racing to get Home

Series 1 of a new light-hearted survival series based in Scotland, commissioned from a TX pilot which I also filmed.  I then worked with the exec to further develop the series into a 6 part. On the ground,  I was embedded for the full shoot (wild camping in highlands), and directing and lighting all MIV set ups.

As the senior director on the ground, I managed the talent, team and schedule. I was the on-camera director, filming the talent as he explores Icelands most active volcano - Katla, and meets with specialist scientists and volcanologists.

I was the senior on the ground, directing crew, producing scenes, and managing contributor relationships. Access based obs doc looking into the small, but competitive world of competing at Crufts. 

999: On the Front Line

Blue light medical series, giving a unique view into the world of the ambulance crews, working in some of Britain’s busiest emergency hotspots. Filmed during the second Covid wave in Birmingham – compliance heavy. I managed a small team, as we filmed both day and night ambulance shifts, which included filming sensitive and sometimes hostile scenes.

Bear Grylls Mission Survive

Bear leads 8 celebrities on a 12 days survival mission in the wilds of South Africa. I was one of the embedded camera team, who slept alongside the celebs in the bush. 

Rocky Mountain Railroad

I  spent 3 months living in the Arctic with First Nations families and individuals, documenting the services and responsibilities of the last flag-stop train in Canada, and how the service has become a lifeline for the people that rely on it for anything from medical and fuel supplies, post, and  transportation to hospital due to the northern communities being inaccessible by regular roads.

I filmed and produced the TX pilot, which then led to a 6 x 60 prime time commision. Custom vehicle builder Titch Cormack builds an adapted motorcycle for an amputee soldier and takes him on a tough off-road ride across the Alps.
